5 Ways To Celebrate Halloween

Happy Wednesday! We're halfway through the week, so the weekend is near! This weekend, my gal pals and I are celebrating a birthday and I am so excited! Few things are better than having your favorite girls around for a weekend full of festivities! One of the ways we're spending the weekend is going to the Little 5 Points Halloween Parade. I've never been, so I'm excited to go.

When planning for this weekend, this got me thinking about Halloween. I'll be honest, I have no idea what I'm doing for Halloween. I'm 22, so definitely past the age of trick-or-treating and honestly, I was the kid who would eat one piece and then give the rest of my candy to my siblings because I didn't really like candy. I know, I'm no fun, but I've got some ideas for some fun ways to celebrate Halloween this year and I'm sharing them with you!

So, you can totally host a scary movie night. Make some popcorn drizzled with melted chocolate (maybe white chocolate dyed orange??) and maybe apple cider or Halloween-inspired punch or cocktails. Invite your friends over for your favorite scary movie or if you hate scary movies like me, Halloweentown never fails. This is super low-key and easy!

If you haven't carved your pumpkin yet, invite your friends over for a pumpkin carving contest! Have everyone bring over a pumpkin to carve and while you do that, play a Halloween movie or maybe a Spotify playlist. Save the pumpkin seeds and try roast them using different Pinterest recipes!

If you want to go out on the town, look up what is happening in your city for Halloween and go out for Halloween. Bar crawls, haunted houses, and fall festivals are all fun ways to celebrate.

Host a Halloween potluck! Search Pinterest for DIY decorations or head to Target or Party City for some cool Halloween decorations, find a Halloween-inspired recipe, and ask your friends to come over and bring a Halloween-inspired dish. Maybe have everyone come in costume too?

I don't do scary, but I know lots of people do. Skip the haunted house attractions and check out a real-life haunted house or other haunted location. Hang out with real-life ghosts this Halloween!

Now that I've shared some Halloween-celebration ideas... let me know some low-key, very easy costume ideas for me. I have NO idea what to dress up as this Halloween and even though I don't like dressing up, I do some thing very low-key each year, but I'm out of ideas so help me. Leave a comment below!
