Winter Night Routine

I had a really great Christmas on Monday. I spent the morning at my house watching Disney's parade, looking through my stocking, and enjoying my family. I went over to David's and opened gifts, watched movies, and just relaxed. It was a cozy, winter night.

I got some really great gifts this year - an Apple Watch, lots of Ferrero Rochers, a wrist strap for my camera, a memory foam neck pillow. I am so thankful for every gift I received! If you're interested to see everything, I'll have everything linked below.

Once I got home that Christmas night, I started my night routine, I decided that I wanted to share it with you all! My night routine changes up a bit in the winter because of the colder weather.

I typically start my night routine after dinner. I feel like one I have dinner, I can really relax and get in the resting mood. I need music to shower.

I remove my makeup, floss, start oil-pulling, and then hop in the shower. I always listen to Spotify while I shower.

I am currently using L'Oreal's Extraordinary Clay Rebalancing Shampoo and Conditioner. This works SO well and I can finally let my hair go a day or two without a wash. It is fantastic. I always use a Bath and Body Works shower gel. I've been loving Aveeno's Positively Smooth Shave Gel. Sometimes, I get razor burn on my legs, but this stuff works well and combating that. I have super sensitive skin also, but this hasn't irritated it at all. For my face, Alba Acnedote Face and Body Scrub works really well. I love scrubs and this leaves my face feeling clean.

After the shower, I throw on some pajamas, brush my teeth, use mouthwash, and brush my hair. I use the lotion that corresponds with whatever shower gel I used and put just a dab of coconut oil on my face.

After this, I start planning for the next day. I grab my planner (I use a DayDesigner) and start planning out the next day. What I love about DayDesigner is that there is a page for every single day and you can easily plan out everything. I used a Lilly Pulitzer agenda for the longest time and it is such a great planner, but as I'm getting busier, I find that a DayDesigner allows me to organize my life best.

Once I plan for the next day, I get in bed and do my devotions. I've recently been reading Simple Pursuit from Passion, which has been so great. After that, as much as they say you really shouldn't be on your phone before bed... well oops, I get on my phone and check Instagram, watch YouTube.. all that jazz.

When I finally get tired, I go to sleep. I usually try and be asleep by 11 p.m.

Pretty simple routine, yes? Boring? Probably. That's my life. LOL.
