Winter Morning Routine + Quick Breakfast Taco Recipe

I am still in disbelief that it is January. The holidays are over. 2017 is over, but 2018 is here.

I spent New Year's Eve at home eating good food, sipping on drinks, and watching Rockin' New Year's Eve. Staying in and watching Rockin' New Year's Eve is a tradition and I love being able to ring in the new year from the comfort of my own home, especially when Nick Jonas is on TV.

So far, 2018 has been good (I know we're only a few days in...) and I've changed up my morning routine just slightly with the addition of a workout! Getting healthy is a goal I have for 2018, but I did start doing it about two weeks prior to the new year.


Every morning, I get up around nine. I check my emails and social media. Sometimes, I spend a little too much time on my phone in the mornings, but oh well. Once I finish getting all caught up, I put my Apple Watch (best Christmas gift ever!!) and head to the bathroom to get freshened up.

I brush my teeth and wash my face using Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser. I have been using this product for years and it never disappoints. It leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed. After I get freshened up, I throw on workout clothes and start my workout.

I recently downloaded the app, 8fit, and I've really enjoyed it. I get my workouts for the day from there and all I need is 30 minutes which is great because most of the time, that is all the time I have. The app also implements yoga into my workout plan, which I have been loving. It has helped with my anxiety and alleviated some pain I've had in my back lately. I enjoy getting to wind down with yoga after my workout.

Once my workout is complete, comes my favorite part of the morning - breakfast. I just love good food quite honestly. I've been eating breakfast tacos by cooking an egg with some veggies and putting in it two corn tortillas with some avocado. It is so yummy, quick, and easy! I love a cup of coffee with my breakfast, too!


After breakfast, I get ready for the day. Lately, my makeup routine has been really simple using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer, L'Oreal's Infallible Pro-Matte Powder, L'Oreal's Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara, and Mario Badescu's Rosewater spray. I told you it was simple.

After that, I curl my hair using my Hot Tools 1-inch curling iron. Once that is done, I throw on an outfit which ranges from cute (sweater, jeggings, and booties) to casual (leggings, oversized sweatshirt, and Nike shoes).

Because I am in the awkward time after graduation without a job, most of my days consist of applying for jobs and interviews and lots of blogging work, which I have had so much fun with. As disappointing as it was to graduate without a job offer right away, it has been a blessing to devote more time to my blog, which is something so important in my life. I haven't ever had a chance to blog "full-time" and I'm getting that chance now, which has been so much fun.
