Why I Start My Day With Pink Salt & Lemon Water

I need quick, simple, and efficient ways to stay healthy and this one is just too easy!



Life can be kind of hectic, but I am so crazy about how I start my day. I like to have control of my mornings because no matter what hits later in the day, I feel a bit more balanced. When my day starts with chaos, I feel like I can barely keep my head above water, but when I start my day with my normal morning routine, the rest of the day feels manageable.

A big part of my morning routine that I recently added was drinking water with pink salt and lemon. Yes, I said pink salt.

I've been starting my day with a glass of water for years, even as a kid. I keep a glass of water next to my bed because there are those times when I literally wake up in the middle with my mouth as dry as the desert needing to chug all the water. Anyone else? I know I can't be the only one.

So yeah, water is my number one beverage choice and I always start my day with it, but a few months ago, I made a change. I added pink Himalayan salt and lemon. Here's why.

Lemon water is pretty popular (always drink it with a straw to protect your enamel). It is a pretty common drink that people start their day off with. Lemon water has a ton of benefits.

Lemon water is a great way to kick start your day. Now, let's talk about the pink salt. Yes, I add it to my morning lemon water. No, you can't really taste it. 

Mineral water is a great way to start your day because you're giving your body important nutrients as soon as you wake up, but that can expensive. Also, I don't really want to drink a plastic water bottle every day. So, when I read that pink salt actually has over 80 trace minerals and elements that are important for us, I got the idea to just add it to my lemon water. When I looked it up, I learned that a ton of people actually do this! Pink salt actually has a ton of benefits over regular table salt, too.
