Travel Diary: AOII Leadership Institute + Nashville

Welcome back! The past few weeks have been hectic, but I'm back and so excited for this post. I am on my way back from a leadership institute that my sorority holds and I learned so much that is going to help be in my sorority, internship, classes, workplace, and really just every aspect of my life.

I traveled to Nashville with three of my sorority sisters. The convention was held in Brentwood, which is about 15 minutes outside of Nashville. We got to go into Nashville for about an hour and of course, this picture had to be taken:
All of Saturday was spent at the hotel, which is also a convention center and I left with so much more knowledge on leadership. The workshops I went to focused on media, which I loved! It was right up my alley and to be surrounded by about 800 sisters of Alpha Omicron Pi was amazing! This was my first time experiencing Alpha Omicron Pi outside of my own collegiate chapter. Sunday, we ate breakfast and listened as some of our past international presidents spoke. The convention came to a close and a few sisters from my collegiate chapter and I headed to the international headquarters for Alpha Omicron Pi! This was so exciting and lots (too many probably) of pictures were taken!
I am exhausted, but this experience was rewarding. If you ever have the oppurtunity to attend a conference or convention of any kind, especially for leadership or a career that you're into, please go! It is rewarding and a great way to network. If you are interested in some sorority-themed posts, please let me know in a comment below! Are you part of Greek life? I want to know that too, so leave a comment saying what organization you're a part of!
xo,
Amanda
