5 Ways To Organize Your Life
Welcome! I am finally back after a few weeks off. Before I get into this post, I just want to share a few updates with you.
I moved back into college to start my final semester. I'm trying to enjoy every minute of it, but I've also been under quite a bit of stress and I've faced a few life roadblocks. Honestly, it has been hard to be happy lately. It has been hard to tell myself that I matter. I've spent hours fighting my anxiety and trying to be happy. It is hard.
Why am I telling you this? I'm telling you this because if you are in a place in your life where you just feel out of control, unhappy, or nothing seems to go right, I've been in your place and I'm fighting it right now in my own life. Reach out to those you love. Reach out to me. Just talk to someone. You matter.
Something that helps me cope with my anxiety, stress, and moments of sadness sometimes is just getting organized and staying organized. Having an organized life is so important and for me, really helps combat a lot of stress. If you feel like you need some organization tips, you're in the right place. Here are my top five!
1. Declutter
Pick a day to declutter your closet, room, house.. whatever it is that needs to get organized. When my living space is organized, I feel like I have some control and get get things done.
2. Use A Calendar/Agenda
I'm only 22, but I can't remember everything I have to do on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. I have to write it down and my agenda is my #1 accessory. If you aren't an agenda person, use a calendar and write down important dates and keep it somewhere you will be able to see it easily.
3. Use Your Phone
My iPhone is great for texting and checking Instagram, but it is also great to use to help my organize my life! I have a finance folder, education folder, and even productivity folder that have apps that help me stay on top of everything.
4. Get A File Folder
Seriously. Get at least one to keep important documents in line - your birth certificate, tax information, and other legal documents.
5. Make A Budget For Yourself
For me, this is so important. Get yourself in the habit of budgeting. The earlier you do this, the better you'll be!
Feel motivated to get organized? Keeping my life organized really helps me just stay motivated and get things done. I'm not perfect, but that's not the goal. The goal is to be organized enough to where you can live a less-stressed life. Being organized gives me a few things to stress less about.

Amanda
