8 Ways To Become A Morning Person

Happy Wednesday! I graduate college in a week, which is so crazy. I can't believe it. I'm so excited, a little nervous, and definitely looking forward to the next chapter of my life. The best is yet to come.

I've always been a morning person. I really enjoy getting up and getting my day started. I know that not everyone is a morning person, but I've got some tips to help you get your day started calm and bit earlier than usual.

1. Wake Up At The Same Time Every Morning
Having your body on a schedule really helps and makes getting up in the morning much easier. If you have to wake up at six every morning, stick to that. On the weekends, sure, sleep in a little, but sleeping in until noon might do more harm than good.

2. Don't Hit Snooze
When your alarm goes off, get up. Don't hit snooze. When I hit snooze, it doesn't really help me feel anymore awake and it is not like I'm getting quality sleep. When the alarm goes off, wake up and resist the urge to hit snooze.

3. Choose Your Outfit The Night Before
Sometimes, it takes me like 20 minutes to pick out an outfit. If you're the same way, I definitely think you should pick your outfit out the night before. It really helps and you'll also get some extra sleep.

4. Have A Night Routine
Having a routine helps me get in bed around the same time every night. I love getting ready for bed, doing my devotions, and sipping on some tea before getting some sleep. It gives me something to look forward and going to sleep around the same time every night helps me to get up around the same time in the morning and feel well rested.

5. Make A Breakfast To Look Forward To
If you've been reading the blog for a while, you might know that my favorite breakfast is avocado and egg toast. I eat it every single day and when I get up in the morning, I look forward to it.

6. Work Out
If I put off my workout until the afternoon or evening, it doesn't happen. Getting up and getting my workout in earlier helps me feel more productive and awake. It helps me feel prepared for my day.

7. Don't Stay In Bed For Too Long
Don't stay in bed too long after waking up. When I lay in bed for an hour (or longer..), I feel really unmotivated. When the alarm goes off, wake up, check your phone real quick, and then get up.

8. Wake Up To Natural Light
Opening the blinds every morning helps wake me up. Getting the natural sunlight in my room puts me in such a great mood.

I hope that these few tips help you become more of a morning person. Staying up late, going out, and spending the next day doing nothing feels good every once in a while, but I do enjoy getting up early to get my day started.

Amanda
