Life After Graduation: Career, Blogging, Positivity

Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I've got some really exciting life updates for you, but first, let me welcome you. Whether you're new or have been here 50 times, welcome! I am thrilled that you've found my little place on the internet to share my thoughts, passions, favorite things... pretty much everything from beauty to college to my life - the good and the bad.

We've made it to Friday, which is pretty great. I've got zero plans this weekend, but it is always great to know that the weekend is near. I really should start making more weekend plans..

It has been quite a while since I've done a life update post. If you've been following the blog for a while, you will know some of the updates that I'm sharing with you, but there are some things I get to share that I haven't talked about yet. Let's get started, shall we?

I guess I'll start with what is probably the biggest change, but if you follow me at all, you probably know this. A little over a month ago, I graduated from Georgia State University in Atlanta with bachelor's degrees in journalism and film media. Graduating college was surreal and even now, it doesn't quite feel real.

In October, I applied for a job at a news station in Myrtle Beach. I was a top candidate and they flew me out to visit and for an interview. Ultimately, I didn't get that job. Honestly, I graduated college without a job offer anywhere. I had applied to literally hundreds of jobs, been to quite a few interviews, but each time, the door closed on that opportunity. It was really hard and for the past few months, my anxiety has been really bad. I was having anxiety attacks multiple times a week and was starting to wonder if I was ever going to get a job. It was hard to stay positive.

Here I am, a month after my college graduation and I finally have a job with iHeartRadio. I am smiling so big. I kind of do a little bit of everything - on-air, social media, producing, events. It is a dream. I had two internships in college - both with nationally-syndicated radio shows - and even though I wasn't getting paid, my heart was full. Radio feels like home and to now have a job in something I am so passionate about is incredible.

No worries, I'm still blogging. This blog is my baby and you all are my family. We're just getting started.

Post-grad life is great. I was kind of nervous, especially without a job, but it is exciting to enter this next step of my life. I worked so hard in college and honestly, college was a blast, but the best is yet to come. My life is just getting started.

As a college graduate, I learned a lot of lessons. I'm working on a blog post to share all my advice to make the most out of your college years. I'm so excited about that post, so be looking out for that. Be sure to sign up to get updates and join the fam!

More blog-related news! I'm going to start doing some more health and fitness-related posts here and also social media (Instagram, Twitter). I've been working really hard to work out consistently and eat better. Last week, I took a break from working out because I was really sick, but I started back on Monday and I feel so good.

Another thing... I really want to be more consistent on YouTube. When I make videos, I love it. I really love it, but then I get discouraged and stop. I want to really be consistent though and start vlogging. Be looking out for that. I would love your support there.

I think that all kind of gets you all caught up. I have been working really hard, but I want to know what content you all want to see.
