Well Hey There, 2018

Happy New Year! Hey there, 2018.

I don't know about you, but 2017 wasn't terrible, but I guess not necessarily great either. I hit a lot of really low points in my life, but I did a lot of growing at the same time. Going into 2018, I definitely think that it will continue to be a year of growth.

Lots of people have resolutions for the new year and while I wouldn't say I have resolutions, I definitely have goals for myself that go into the new year. These are things that I have been actively working on and will continue to work on into the new year.

My first goal is to get a job in media. I really want to work in radio, news, public relations - really anything surrounding media. I've had lots of interviews, but also a lot of "no's." In 2018, my ultimate goal is get a job doing something I am so passionate about - media.

Working on my health is also a big one. I lost about 20 pounds in 2017 which isn't a whole lot, but better than nothing. I did really good some weeks and really bad other weeks. I recently downloaded 8fit and it has been a really great tool for improving my health and losing weight. I've also recently gotten into yoga which has been wonderful for my anxiety. All my workouts come right from this app.

Making quality content is another goal I have going into the new year. I want to give you content here that you want to read. I want you to look forward to visiting the blog. Got ideas? Comment below or even message me on Twitter, Instagram, or Tumblr. I also want to really focus on my social media this year and pump out more content there as well.

In 2018, I want to move out and have a place of my own. I'm currently back home as I search for a job and I am so thankful to be able to come back to my childhood home and spend some time with my family, but I am 22 and it is time to have a place of my own. In 2018, I plan on getting an apartment and really taking that step in "adulthood."

I am so looking forward to 2018 and all the changes that will happen in my life. It is going to be a wild, but great year. It will definitely be a year of growth.

To help my keep all my goals in mind, I've written them down in my DayDesigner and even created a motivation board. I totally recommend getting your goals down on paper or something visual so that you can be reminded of them on a regular basis. It is so important to keep your goals in mind.

What is your #1 goal for the new year? What is something you are looking forward in 2018? Comment! Let's talk and encourage each other!
