How To Celebrate Your Birthday In Quarantine (and the perfect invites!)

My birthday is on Friday and even though I won't be able to spend it with all my favorite people, I'm still going to be celebrated and enjoy my day... quarantine-style!

Basic Invite was kind enough sponsor this post! I've used them in the past for invites and Christmas cards and they are seriously the best. I'll talk more about them in a bit!

David was planning my birthday, but there were a couple things that I told him I wanted to do to celebrate my 25th birthday and with social-distancing and just being safe, I won't be able to go out and do some of those things year. It is totally a bummer, but I've decided to make the best of the day because honestly, I have so much to celebrate and so much to be so grateful for. I am so blessed and I'm going to really celebrate turning 25.

But next year... I'm going all out for my birthday.

This year however, I'll be celebrating my birthday in quarantine, but that doesn't mean it just has to be another day I stay home in my pajamas watching Gossip Girl for the 10th time (although, I'm totally not complaining!).

There are still so many sweet things that you can do to celebrate your special day.

Start Your Day Celebrating
I'm starting my day by doing my fabulous morning routine and then grabbing my favorite coffee at a local shop and a chocolate croissant from a new bakery in town. Both of these places only offer pick-up at the moment, so I can enjoy two of my absolute favorite things safely!

Get Dressed!
If you were having a big party or celebrating at your favorite restaurant, you would dress up, right? Just because you're celebrating at home in quarantine doesn't mean that you have to spend the day in the same sweatpants and t-shirt (my uniform the past few weeks!). Grab your favorite outfit, do your hair and put a little bit of makeup on if you'd like. If you're getting your group together virtually (more about that next), make it a themed get-together so everyone gets to dress up!

Celebrate With Your People Virtually
While you might not be able to get all your favorite people together in one place, you can host a party virtually! You can even send online birthday invitations! My favorite place to get invitations made is Basic Invite. Here's a couple reasons why...
- They have unlimited color combinations! Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers infinite color combinations with instant online previews. This means that your cards can be exactly how you want them, down to even the smallest detail. I'm ALL about details.
- Basic Invite also has custom samples! They allow customers the ability to order a printed sample of their invitation so they can see the quality and how it will print before the final order is placed.
- The best part might just be the free address collection service! You can request addresses with just three simple steps. You share a link via social media or email, collect addresses and get free envelope printing!
Whether you're looking for 60th birthday party invitations, holiday cards or wedding invitations, Basic Invite really can do it all and they make the process so easy!

Eat The Cake
Have you perfected your baking skills during quarantine? Maybe you've discovered that your favorite dessert place delivers. However you decide to treat yourself on your special day, do it. Don't feel guilty for eating the cake.

Things might be a little different, but we are all going to get through this. I know that things are tough and I just want to remind you that it is always okay to get help or reach out to a friend. Reach out to me.

Have the best day and I wish you a very happy birthday!

xx,
Amanda
