Hatred Has No Place Here

"Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness." 1 John 2:9

How can you make a change? How can you actively be anti-racist? What can you do to stop the hate?

Here are some easy places to start.

Speak up!
Use your voice. Talk to your family, friends, and colleagues about racism. Challenge each other’s opinions, challenge the system in which you live and work. Have the hard conversations.

Vote!
So many fought for you to have the right to vote. Don't take that for granted. The responsibility that comes with voting is powerful and impactful. Do your research. Show up at the polls. Run for office if you feel led.

Use your money for good!
Use your money to support brands that promote positivity, change, and awareness. Donate to causes that are doing good in your community.

Ask questions!
Life is one big learning lesson. Ask questions, read, research and educate yourself.

Be honest with yourself!
Racism is an institutional problem, but one way to tackle it is by discovering your own biases and talking about them with the people you surround yourself with. Check yourself and make a change.

There are so many resources available to us right now. A good list to start with can be found on GoodGoodGood.

I see you. I stand with you. I love you.

xx,
Amanda
