6 Fun Winter Date Ideas

Hi lovelies!

Winter in Georgia has been crazy cold, but I am loving it. I really love the cold weather and the past few winters in Georgia have been pretty mild, so I am enjoying this winter being particularly cold.

David and I are were trying to plan a date night the other day. We haven't gone out on a date in forever and we were brainstorming all the different things that we could do. We wanted to do a little more than just dinner and movie. We wanted to think of some things that were winter-themed... and by we, I mean mostly me.
We came up with a few ideas and I wanted to share our five fun winter dates ideas with you! Get ready for your next date night.

1. Go Out For Hot Cocoa & Ice Skating
I have never been ice skating and it is one of those things that I want to do, but don't want to do at the same time. I want to do it because it seems fun and I mean... it makes for good Instagram photos. On the other hand, I am 99% sure that I will fall on my face. After ice skating, I think getting some hot cocoa is the perfect way to end the night.
There a few places in Atlanta you can ice skate like Ponce City Market, Park Tavern, and Atlantic Station.

2. Stay In, Cook a Fancy Dinner, and Build a Fort
Sometimes, staying in is better than going out and it beats having to bundle up. Head to the store, grab some steaks and wine and cook a fancy dinner at home. After that dinner, build a fort and watch a Netflix movie.

3. Go Out For Drinks and Dance
If you're up for a late night, go out to your favorite bar or club for some drinks and dancing! It might be cold outside, but you'll definitely stay warm. I don't go out very often, but sometimes, it really is fun.

4. Have a Fondue and Wine Night
I've never made fondue at home, so this is something I really want to do! I think fondue is really fun and you can get creative with it. Hop on Pinterest for some wine pairings and you've got a fun dinner date!

5. Visit A Local Winery or Brewery
I have yet to go on winery or brewery tour. I think that touring one would be really fun and there's a few popular ones in Atlanta. I'm sure there is one near you, too! I'm more a wine-gal and some wineries I want to tour are Tiger Mountain Vineyards, Habersham Vineyards and Winery, Yonah Mountain Vineyards and Winery, and Chateau Elan. These are some popular breweries that I think would be cool to tour including Monday Night Brewing, Orpheus Brewing, Terrapin Beer Co., and Sweetwater Brewing Company.

6. Rent a Cabin and Make It a Weekend Getaway
Airbnb is my favorite way to find cool places to stay whenever I need to get away. In the winter, a mountain getaway in a cabin is practically expected. Sometimes, you just need a few days rather than just a date night. Lucky for you, get $40 off your getaway by using Airbnb

I'm really excited for my upcoming winter dates. I'm doing ALL of these.

I'm really excited for a cabin weekend. We've got cute little mountain towns here in Georgia. Helen, Ellijay, Blue Ridge...just to name a few. I really want to venture out to Colorado one day and spend a few days out there during the winter. Maybe Breckenridge?

Comment a city you want to visit this winter! Let me know if you try any of these date ideas, too!

xo,
Amanda
